(this is Spring Break in Oklahoma so be sure and make plans to attend!)

Friday, March 21st- TAKE THIS DAY OFF TOO IF YOU CAN!
THOSE THAT ARE IN TOWN WE WILL MEET FRIDAY NIGHT FOR COOKOUT / VISITING at Shonda & Kirby's house 6:00 p.m. - ??
I will send out emails/letters with info on directions etc. They are providing food etc all you need is B.Y.O.B!
The McKaskles have asked to help any way they can and I know Shonda's mom will probably be by to help also. Mac wants
to help cook and will probably help with meal provided.
Saturday, March 22nd-Ride in Alumni parade (meeting time unknown yet) wear tshirts
of old Rock bands, Journey, Def Leppard, etc. Mike is in charge of the float and our theme will be "Rock" Class
of 88 still rockin' on, something of that nature and play 80's music from the float. If we need to help Mike w/
the float preparations I will notify everyone.
After parade meet at the AmericInn (south of city park) for
catered noon meal, meal is max $10 per plate and kids should be less. The more that
reserve the less the cost will be for everyone. We ask that you try and let us know if you can attend prior to
the event so we can let the caterer know how many to cook for, we have to pay for the amount we
reserve. Pay when eat-- Class funds are low so we will be asking
for donations. We only have $203 in class account!!!
We will be allowed to have the banquet room, pool area and the commons area at the hotel until we are finished on Saturday night
whatever the time might be.
Noon meal will be "family friendly" and there will be a slide show presentation. I have completed the
slide show disc. Class DVD copies are being made by Andy and are available with at least a $10 donation to class fund.
Kids may swim free at the hotel whether you are staying at hotel or not with adult supervision (may have to sign
consent form at front desk) on Saturday. Everyone's parents are welcome please include them in your lunch count.
It might be a good idea to bring a pop-up chair just in case we are short or decide to gather for a while outdoors
in the evening. If anyone has pop up canopies please bring those just in case so we can be outside if the weather
permits.
Saturday PM- more of an "adult" event, BYOB, we are staying at the hotel Saturday evening.
If you are able please bring an appetizer to share. Deli trays/bread, chips salsa, etc. If you are traveling from
out of town there are premade items at United. If you are unable to bring something please come anyway! We want
everyone to be safe with no drinking or driving and to stay in one place. There are local restaurants nearby
with take out food, Flying J is right across the street with full service restaurant, pizza & chinese food as well as
the local Sonic and other places.
Several classmates have made reservations at the hotel
www.americinn.com for Saturday night March 22nd even if they live locally. We want this to be a safe & fun occassion for everyone.
Please mention you are with the Class of 88
Book hotel reservations early, they will go fast for the alumni weekend!! The hotel
is almost full!
Sunday, March 23rd- EASTER SUNDAY- Some people may want
to go home or attend church with their families. Some of us may eat together at the hotel in the am (those
of us that stayed overnight) or schedule a time to meet for breakfast or lunch on Sunday at the Flying J.
Please come see your friends. We have tried to make this so you can come and go as you choose. Time flies
fast we want to see you! Let's make this our best reunion yet!
These plans are confirmed! Updates will be made if necessary.
If I don' t have your contact
information I can't get a hold of you. I will mail everyone a letter with plan info and rsvp for lunch as well as info
for the paper. Please fill it out ASAP and return it to me.
Please bring pictures of your family
etc. to share with everyone! Bring old annuals, videos (we will have to see about a tv/vcr)
